This quote perfectly encapsulates the idea that the people we surround ourselves with significantly impact our mindset, habits, and ultimately, our success. In the mortgage business, being mindful of this can open up incredible opportunities for growth and learning.

It's easy to get comfortable with the familiar faces in our immediate circle. However, stepping out of this comfort zone can introduce us to new ideas, perspectives, and opportunities that we might otherwise miss. For instance, attending industry events and seminars, like the one I attended at the RE/MAX office on Day 3, allows us to learn from the experiences of others. I’ve personally found that broadening my network has brought invaluable insights and opportunities to my business.

  1. Attend Industry Events: Regularly attend seminars, workshops, and conferences related to the mortgage and real estate industry. These events are goldmines for networking and learning.

  2. Join Professional Associations: Becoming a member of professional associations can connect you with like-minded professionals who share your passion and drive.

  3. Engage on Social Media: Platforms like LinkedIn and Insta are perfect for connecting with industry leaders and peers. Engage in discussions, share insights, and build meaningful connections.

  4. Seek Mentorship and Collaboration: Reach out to experienced professionals for mentorship! Collaborating with peers from different backgrounds can also lead to innovative solutions and growth.
